Welcome to Armadale Kelmscott Swimming Club (AKSC)
We are a family orientated social and competitive swimming club run by dedicated volunteers.
To any eligible swimmer we offer coaching and instruction with fully accredited coaches, for both fitness and competition swimmers.
We pride ourselves on welcoming children and adults with a wide range of swimming ability and aspirations, and offer three different levels of coaching.
Once a child, regardless of age, is able to swim 25m of any stroke (and passed level 5 VacSwim) they can join the club and attend club nights only (Exceptions can only be granted after consultation with the club President, following further assessments, with our coaches).
Once a child, regardless of age, is able to swim 25 metres of any stroke (and passed Level 6 VacSwim), they are ready to join the Junior squad. As they improve, we offer Intermediate and Senior squads.
We hold Club Nights fortnightly on Fridays from 6 PM. This is where swimmers race according to their ability and seeded with like swimmers and NOT by age. The emphasis on Club Night is improvement of personal best times and on having fun.
AKSC is a Kidsport approved club!
