Notes
Junior Swimmers
Juniors train 2 sessions per week, either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday (indoor 25m pool).
Squad allocation is subject to availability.
Alternative option AM training sessions on Tuesday & Thursday (outdoor 50m pool).
Intermediate & Senior Swimmers
Can train up to 4 sessions per week.
State Development Squad
Can train up to 6 sessions per week.
Holidays & Breaks
No training on Public Holidays.
School holiday breaks will be scheduled based on the Swimming WA Calendar.
There’s usually a break between long course and short course seasons.
No training during Christmas & New Year, with at least a 2-week break.
Winter Weather (April to September)
During bad weather (heavy rain, strong winds, or storms), morning sessions may be moved to the indoor 25m pool, subject to availability.
Lifeguards will provide directions during storms.
Training Fees
Payment Method:
Fees are paid via direct debit.
30 days written/emailed notice is required if you plan to stop training.
Junior Swimmers
$70.00/month
(Up to 2 sessions per week)
Transitioning Juniors
$95.00/month
(Up to 4 sessions per week)
Intermediate Swimmers
$95.00/month
(Up to 4 sessions per week)
Senior Swimmers
$95.00/month
(Up to 4 sessions per week)
State Development Swimmers
$100.00/month
(Up to 6 sessions per week)
Dryland Training
Additional $10/month
(1 session per week)
Note: Dryland strength and conditioning training is included in Wednesday sessions for State Development and Senior swimmers. Intermediates may join with coach approval.
30 days written/emailed notice is required if you plan to stop or have a break in training.
Training Information
Training Equipment Requirements
All swimmers must bring the following items to training for every session:
– Bathers (no board shorts are allowed)
– Goggles (compulsory)
– Swimming cap (compulsory)*
– Kick board (compulsory)**
– Flippers/Fins (flexible rubbery type) (compulsory)
– Water bottle (please write your name on it)
– Towel
– Pool buoy (Intermediates, Senior/State Development swimmers only)
– Hand paddles (Senior/State Development swimmers only)
* New members will receive an AKSC swimming cap once fully registered.
** The club has kickboards and paddles that members can borrow during training until they purchase their own.
