Cyrus Tadena

Background
Swimming has been a key part of my life since I first jumped in the water at age 6. Although I didn’t start competing until I was 16, I qualified for my first State Championships that same year. My path took an unexpected but exciting turn when I filled in for my coach during her holiday—an experience that lit a fire in me for coaching. Since then, I’ve pursued a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Rehabilitation Science and am currently completing my Master’s in Applied Human Performance Science.
Experience
My coaching journey began with a simple fill-in role, but it quickly became a lifelong passion. I’ve spent years learning from high-level mentors and expanding my knowledge to become the coach I am today. I’m now proud to lead the team at AKSC as Head Coach, where I focus on helping swimmers grow both in and out of the pool.
