Full Member – For existing members and New members who wish to swim competitively Swimming WA Annual Members are junior swimmers (9 years to 12 years), age swimmers (13 years to 18 years) and open/senior swimmers who actively seek to swim all year round.
General Member – 9 years of age to Open. This Membership category is designed to recruit new Members to our Club and to cater for Open Water Swimming Series Members wishing to align with a Club and test their skills in pool competitions.
Note: General Members are likely to be people that are currently swimming in some kind of structured format. They may be at a surf lifesaving Club, part of a local pool squad programme or a casual swimmer at an aquatic centre.
General Members have access to:
• SunSmart Splash & Dash Carnivals (9 – 11 years of age)
• Westpac Summer League
• Country Pennants
• Club Premierships
• Swimming WA Open Water Swimming Series
• Club and Inter Club Competitions*
• Official times from Club Competitions*
Junior Dolphin – 8 years of age†.
This Membership category is for swimmers aged 8 years old who actively seek to swim in a Club all year round.
Junior Dolphins Members (8 years) have access to:
• Junior Dolphins Carnivals
• Sunsmart Splash & Dash Carnivals
• Westpac Summer League – 8/9 years relays only
• Learn to Race Clinics
• Club and Inter Club Competitions*
• Official times at Club Competitions*
5 – 7 years of age
Junior Dolphins Membership for children aged 7 years and under who are graduating from a Learn to Swim school and wish to explore the social environment of a swimming Club, as well as preserving development opportunities.
Junior Dolphins Members (5 – 7 years) have access to:
• Junior Dolphins Carnivals
Parent/Guardian Member – FREE.
This applies to parents and guardians of children under the age of 18 who are registered with the Club.
Parents and guardians with this Membership are protected by insurance at any time when completing Club related activites, participating at the Club or travelling to and from Club activities.
* Club Sanctioned Meets not eligible
† Conditions of Junior Dolphins Membership (8 years of age):
• Qualification for this Membership category is based on age at the start of the 2019/20 season (1 October 2019) or at the time of Membership purchase for the 2019/20 season, whichever is the latter.
• Should the swimmer turn 9 years of age during the 2019/20 season, the option is available to upgrade to an Annual, Seasonal or General Membership to enable a swimmer to access benefits of these categories. This will result in an upgrade fee.
Payment is made via the myswim website (for first time users there is a guide attached for Renewing members which steps through the process):
All swimmers must bring the following items to training for every session:-
- Bathers (no board shorts are allowed)
- Swimming cap (this is compulsory)*
- Kick board**
- Flippers (flexible rubbery type)
- Water bottle
- Pool buoy (senior swimmers only)
- Hand paddles (senior swimmers only)
* New members will receive an AKSCswimming cap once fully registered.
** The club has kickboards members can borrow during training until they purchase their own.
AKSC club bathers are available for purchase. Please refer to separate Uniform Order form for prices. Please contact our Uniform Coordinator – Amanda Speedy on 0417 081 047 to place an order.

- All members are encouraged to attend.
Swimmers must register for events online by the Thursday cut-off time to allow time for the meet recorder to set-up the meet. The club will email out a reminder approx. one week prior to Club nights. The MySwim website is used to register for club nights with any changes to be made by emailing the club (or last minute by contacting Amanda on 0438 944 135).
Parents: Request that back to back events are not selected to ensure the swimmers can achieve their best time.
Events will start at approximately 6.00pm.
Note 10: All swimmers U18 attending Club Night must have an adult with them to assist with time-keeping and other duties on the night.
Child (2-15 years): $4.80 per session
Concession (student 16 years +): $4.80 per session
Adult (16 yrs & over): $6.00 per session
Family Entry (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children): $17.00 per session Spectator: $1.00 per session

Note 6: If a swimmer has trained or been registered with another club in the previous 3 years a transfer form and fee is required to be paid directly to swimming WA - $35.

Junior swimmers: $51.00 per month (2 training sessions per week) Intermediate swimmers: $76.00 per month (4 training sessions per week)
Senior swimmers: $76.00 per month (4 training sessions per week)
Fees will be due on the 15th of each month. Training fees will initially be payable to the club by cash, cheque or EFT and are due during your first week of training. We are currently setting up a direct debit payment system which will take the hassle out of remembering when fees are due. Further details will be provided in due course.
30 days written/emailed noticeis required if you intend to cease training.
Note 8: Swimmers please arrive 10min prior to do stretching prior to hitting the pool.
Note 9: All swimmers aged 10 years and under must have a parent/guardian supervision at the pool whilst they are training. This is a requirement of the Armadale Aquatic Centre. Note 11: If your child is attending the pool two or more times a week,the best value is an AFAC Membership. These memberships are fortnightly, direct debit until cancelled eliminating any cash perspective. Please contact AFAC to find the best membership to suit your family’s needs.
Note 12: We have secured corporate membership from AFAC that enables new Club members to join AFAC with concession rates on all individual concession membership types advertised at AFAC (regardless of whether you would normally be eligible for concession)!
