Club Awards

Champion Points - Prior to Championship Day

Timed finals for distance events will be held and swum prior to Championship Day.

Points from these events will count towards our overall champions.

Points from both distance events and those swum on Championship Day will be allocated to the fastest swimmers out of all the heats for these events in the categories 13 & over and 12 & under.

Age Medals and Ribbons - Championship Day

Ribbons will be awarded to all participants on the Championship Day.

Medals will be awarded to the overall Age Champion and Runner up Boy & Girl for each Age Group on Championship Day.

Champion points are awarded 8 to 1, eight for first, one for coming eight.

The Medals are awarded to the boy or girl who accumulate the most Championship events points (including the events swum prior to the Championship Day indicated in the program with a #).

Junior Boy and Girl Champion Trophies

“Junior” is 12 years of age and under as at Championship Day. 

Trophies are awarded to the boy and girl who accumulate the most championship points over the full Season at the Annual Club Wind up.

Senior Boy and Girl Champion Trophies

“Senior” is 13 years of age and over as at Championship Day. 

Trophies are awarded to the boy and girl who accumulate the most championship points over the full Season at the annual Club Wind up.

There are “Runner up’” boy and girl in both the above age groups.

Junior and Senior Boy and Girl “Points Champions”

The “Points Competition” is based on improvement of Personal Best Times. Points for this competition are calculated differently to those for the Champion Boy and Girl.

A trophy will be awarded to the Junior and Senior Boy and Girl scoring the highest points at the Annual Club Wind up. 

These points are determined by Friday Night Club Swims only. 

There are Runner Up Girl and Boy awards in both the above age groups. 

Trophies for the 8 and Under Boy and Girl may also be awarded, dependent upon number of swimmers in these age groups. A decision shall be made at Committee level prior to the Championship Day.

Michael Tilbee Memorial Award

This award is for the most improved time over the course of the season (first Friday Club Night to end of points events) by a Junior boy or girl in the 50m Butterfly event.

Alex Glasgow 400m Individual Medley Champion Boy and Girl

Awarded for the fastest Championship time for the 400m Individual Medley for the season.

The Jackson Trophy

Awarded to the swimmer with the fastest Championship time for the 200m Backstroke

Distance Events

These are the 800m and 1500m Freestyle events.

Medals are presented for Junior Boy and Girl and Senior Boy and Girl at the Annual Club Wind up.

Perpetual Trophies

Perpetual Trophies that are awarded to winners remain the property of the Club and are on display in the Club rooms throughout the year - please take the time to view them.
