Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled training to allow time to stretch and to insure you are ready to start at the allocated time.
Equipment Requirements
All swimmers must bring the following items to training for every session:
* New members will receive an AKSC swimming cap once fully registered.
** The club has kickboards members can borrow during training until they purchase their own.
1: Juniors can train on Mon & Wed OR Tues & Thurs, subject to availability (Indoor 25m pool). From 7th Nov 2022 Juniors can also train on Tue and/or Thur mornings (outdoor 50m pool)
Intermediate & Senior swimmers can train up to 4 sessions per week. State Development Squad can train up to 6 sessions per week.
2: No training on Public Holidays.
3. Breaks during school holidays will be scheduled subject to Swimming WA Calendar. Generally there will be a break between the long course and short course seasons.
There will no training training over Christmas & New Year - minimum 2 week break.
3: Training in inclement weather during the winter season (April to September) - subject to pool availability, AM training sessions may be run in the indoor 25m pool in the event of the following weather conditions:
- In heavy rains or strong winds
- If storms are present (Lifeguards will generally give the club directions in this situation)
