Training Information

Please arrive 10 minutes  before your scheduled training to allow time to stretch and to insure you are ready to start at the allocated time.


 Equipment Requirements 

All swimmers must bring the following items to training for every session:

  • Bathers (no board shorts are allowed)
  • Goggles  
  • Swimming cap (this is compulsory)*   
  • Kick board**  
  • Flippers (flexible rubbery type)   
  • Water bottle   
  • Towel  
  • Pool buoy (senior swimmers only) 
  • Hand paddles (senior swimmers only)


 * New members will receive an AKSC swimming cap once fully registered.


 ** The club has kickboards members can borrow during training until they purchase their own. 

* Notes:

1: Juniors will be Training in the 50m pool from Sept 30th 2019 till the 23rd April 2020 then move back into the indoor 25m pool for term 2 & 3 2020!

2: From Dec'19-Feb'20 - Trial Friday morning training session for Inter&Seniors squads - TRIAL EXTENDED till 3rd April'20

3: From 3rd Feb '20 - Juniors can now train on Mon & Wed OR Tue & Thur, subject to availability

4: From 6th Feb '20 - Trial Fitness Squad for 12+ only

5: NO training over the school holidays between term 1 & 2 - 2 week break. Also NO training over Christmas & New Year - 2 week break. Over all other school holiday periods training will be running as normal.
